There's a new e-tailer on the block, and this one might just be good enough to rival net-a-porter...
Well actually mytheresa.com isn't exactly new, having launched in 2006 as the online arm of the German bricks and mortar store, and while we have been journalistically aware of it, we haven't really given it much thought as it served mainland Europe direct, not the UK. But, it's fair to say you probably haven't heard of it before. Whilst our European cousins have been buying from the website's selection of 120 high-end designers for years, this is the first time the company is directly targeting the UK market.
Well not for much longer. Mytheresa.com is known for its designer exclusives, and pre-fall sees the arrival of exclusive pieces from Burberry Prorsum, Proenza Schouler and Erdem to name a few. FEAL has managed to get hold of this never before seen sketch from the latter (you know how I love fashion illustration).
'For the Pre-fall collection with mytheresa.com I wanted everything to feel bright and dynamic, and also very special for their customer' - Erdem
The pre-fall capsule collections go online in June. Until then you can click through to shop these hot SS10 offerings:
Blazer by Richard Nicoll (£803), Trousers by Stella McCartney (£415), Necklace by Dries Van Noten (£768)
I've used MyTheresa for years, especially when the pound to euro rate was better, so I'm glad that the UK is now a deal direct, saves doing currency converter - well actually they've been dealing in pounds for over a year now, I'm just being nostalgic! They are really good and have a great selection. Sometimes I still wish things were not so well known, like when COS was only on Regent St and no one really shopped there at first. Is it wrong to want to keep the masses out!
ReplyDeleteReally lovely looks! I'm sorry to spam, but I have gorgeous giveaway going on in my blog right now! Please come and see!

ReplyDeleteI think Luisa via Roma and Brownsfashion.com are more serious competitors/alternatives to Net-a-Porter because they have very different, more 'avant-garde' stock, with young designers etc. I have found that Theresa stocks almost identical things to Net-a-Porter, yet (for UK/London people at least) doesn't have the benefit of quick and same-day delivery, and their service, packaging etc. would have to be pretty good to match up to Net-a-Porter's..
ReplyDeleteI think www.workoutlife.com offers a fantastic range of women's activewear clothing, for yoga, pilates, running and generally working out
